Greenbelt from back patio

No water yet. We’ve had back to back yard sales in the house, sold a lot including trailers, golf cart & quad, beds, bar stools, hd tv, & lots of unused “stuff”. Still to sell patio furniture, natural gas grill, dining room set & living room furniture. Coye’s Jag & all this will hit craigs list. After next month back deck views will be pretty much water, water, & nare a drop to drink.

Back home & selling

Well the tenant came over & we signed a 3 year lease on the house. Now we need to get busy, we need to be out at the latest by the 24th of next month. Sold the quad & trailer yesterday, the treadmill has been sold also, somebody interested in the saws, bench grinder & tool boxes. Most of my other tools will go with us.

I will post some pictures of the boat both in & out of the water, some cosmetic work needs to be done, we also need a cutlass bearing & an exhaust hose. I have done that before on the sailboat, not a particularily fun job & this is a bigger one. We will have the boat hauled, bottom painted & cutlass bearing replaced by the yard, just more boat bucks. Quickly learning about cruising, doing boat repairs in exotic places. Ha!

Well here are the promised pictures:  We will keep the name the same, Toloache is a desert flower found in the Baja. We will change the hailing port but keep her Canadian registered. Saves lots of red tape (and painting). Till next time.

Boat Purchase

I accomplished what I set out to do in La Paz, found a boat, it was the trawler in the picture. The offer was made last week, then negotiated, sea trials, haul out to clean & inspect her bottom (messy). Wait on surveyors report until Saturday, then renegotiate the deal this morning based on the results of the survey, which was actually very good. After an hour or so we had resolved everthing to everybodies satisfaction, shook hands & signed papers.  The boat is a Canadian registered 40′ trawler with an aft stateroom & a forward cabin ahead of the galley. Both have heads & showers, our aft one also has a small bath tub like our last sailboat. There is a nice sized salon with seating for 6-8 depending on armpits, etc. We also have a nice upper aft deck & flybridge with more room for seating or sunbathing. There is a lower galley with near full size refrigerator/freezer.

Coye has been busy negotiating leases, getting ready to sell our stuff, & let our new tenants occupy with a 3-4 year lease on the house. If you know anyone looking for toys, furniture, tools, appliances clothes etc., let us know bargains are to be had. We are also selling her Jag. Will post pictures & give another update after I get home, I fly out at 0635 tomorrow morning. See you all soon.
